Anita Olivia Koester is a visual artist and photographer. Her collage and photography is published or forthcoming in Hobart Online, After Hours, Paris Lit Up, SKY+SEA Anthology and elsewhere. In 2016, her photograph "Self-Portrait as a Writer" was an Honorable Mention in Photographer's Forum Annual Spring Contest and is published in their book, Best of Photography 2016. Recently, "Self-Portrait as a Housewife" won first place at the Elmhurst Artists' Guild Spring Show. Besides being a photographer, Koester is an award-winning poet and author of the chapbooks Marco Polo (Hermeneutic Chaos Press), Apples or Pomegranates (forthcoming with Porkbelly Press), and Arrow Songs (winner of Paper Nautilus' Vella Chapbook Contest).
