Wendi Yan was born in Beijing, China. She is a student artist at Phillips Exeter Academy. She enjoys exploring all mediums and her works range from painting, photography, sculpture to performance and installation. She has received an Honorable Mention in Visual Arts from the YoungArts Foundation and a Silver Medal in Painting from the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, as well as multiple Gold and Silver Keys. She admires Cai Guo-Qiang and Olafur Eliasson, and is interested in public art and large scale projects.
