We're ready for your best work. Pass it along via our online submission manager, and we’ll get back to you soon. Since inception, the journal has been listed for extended periods among Duotrope.com's 25 Fastest & Most Challenging Poetry and Fiction Markets, and has been the #1 Poetry Market with the Most Submission Responses Reported for an extended period.

Prose - up to 3 pieces at a time, 3,000 words maximum.
Poetry - up to 8 poems at a time, no length limits.
Art - up to 8 pieces at a time, both black/white & color accepted.

Please note that we are currently OPEN to submissions of poetry, prose, and art until mid-March 2017. We hope you'll share your best with us at that time via our submission manager located here. Please note: We are only open to submissions sent via Submittable. We are not open to email submissions, nor are we open to submissions sent via post.

When we are open to submissions, please note that we are open to simultaneous submissions (so long as you promptly let us know if they’re accepted elsewhere). Please be sure to submit multiple poetry and prose submissions in one document. Again, click here for our submission manager.

Please note that all submissions should be accompanied by a cover letter and brief third-person biography statement, and that (unless otherwise stated) we ask for First North American Rights to publish. Following publication, all rights revert back to the poet; we only ask that you grant permission for us to permanently archive your work online, consider it for the annual compendium release, and credit The Adroit Journal as the place your work first appeared.

If you are a student in high school, college, or university, please see the guidelines for the annual Adroit Prizes for Poetry and Prose.

To submit, you may visit our submission manager at www.adroit.submittable.com. All inquires regarding submission should be directed to editors@theadroitjournal.org.

               Happy submitting!
